Lauren Lacorcia

Lauren graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1999 and spent 18 months in general practice before returning to Melbourne to complete an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. In 2003 she became a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine by examination and she won the medicine medal that year. In 2004 Lauren took up a Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. In 2007 she was awarded a Master’s degree from the University of Melbourne for studies into feline parasitology, particularly feline lungworm infection and in 2009 she achieved the specialist status of Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She has particular interests in urinary, GI and hepatic disease, feline bronchial disease and immune mediated disorders.
